GreenStripe Terms
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions explain important information about GreenStripe services, billing, scheduling, cancellations, customer responsibilities and use of our website.
Last Updated: October 4, 2026
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the GreenStripe website and, where applicable, the services GreenStripe provides to you. By using our website or enrolling in a GreenStripe service, you agree to these Terms.
GreenStripe provides services that include:
- Lawn care
- Lawn renovation
- Tree and shrub care
- Mosquito control
- Tick control
- Perimeter pest control
- Commercial turf services
- Sports field management
- Related services offered by GreenStripe
Not every service is included in every customer's program. Your individual proposal, program description, invoice or enrollment documents describe the specific services you have purchased.
Programs & Services
GreenStripe offers a range of programs and individual services. The exact scope of your service depends on what you purchase or enroll in.
Treatment materials, application methods and timing may vary based on:
- Season
- Weather
- Turf or plant conditions
- Pest pressure
- Product availability
- Product label requirements
- Professional judgment
- Property conditions
GreenStripe may make reasonable agronomic adjustments to a treatment while keeping the intended purpose of your service. Unless a specific product or active ingredient is included in your agreement, we choose the materials we believe are most appropriate at the time of service.
Annual Programs & Automatic Renewal
GreenStripe lawn and recurring service programs are ongoing and continue from year to year until cancelled. That means your service continues into the next season without you needing to sign up again.
You are not locked into a long-term contract. You may request cancellation at any time; cancellation is finalized as described in Cancellation & Refunds.
During enrollment, customers are required to affirmatively acknowledge that their services will continue from year to year until cancelled. Simply visiting this website does not enroll you in a program or constitute agreement to automatic renewal.
Program pricing, services or program structure may change in future seasons. Where appropriate, GreenStripe may communicate those changes before or as part of the upcoming service season.
Your First Year With GreenStripe
Lawn care is a process, not a single application.
GreenStripe programs are designed around a complete annual agronomic cycle. You may notice improvements sooner, but we recommend evaluating your lawn's overall progress after completing the first full year of service.
Results, and how quickly they appear, can be affected by:
- Weather
- Soil conditions
- Irrigation and watering
- Mowing practices
- Shade
- Drainage
- Turf species
- Existing lawn condition
- Weeds, insects and disease
- Environmental stress
- Customer maintenance practices
- Other conditions outside GreenStripe's control
Different weeds, insects and diseases appear at different times of the year and may require different treatment methods or timing. A complete annual program allows each of these to be addressed in its proper season.
Scheduling & Service Timing
GreenStripe services are performed within appropriate seasonal treatment windows. Exact service dates can change due to:
- Weather and rainfall
- Temperature
- Soil conditions
- Route scheduling
- Product label requirements
- Other circumstances affecting responsible application
We generally send advance service notification by text message before a scheduled service and, when scheduling permits, customers will often receive 48 hours or more of notice.
If you need to stop or change an upcoming service, please contact GreenStripe as soon as possible before the service is performed.
Customer Responsibilities
Successful lawn and landscape care is a partnership. Your maintenance practices can make a real difference in your results. Where applicable, we ask that you:
- Water appropriately
- Mow properly
- Follow new-seed watering instructions
- Maintain functioning irrigation
- Provide reasonable access to treatment areas
- Unlock gates when necessary
- Keep service areas reasonably accessible
- Keep pets away as directed by applicable product instructions
- Let us know about property changes or conditions that could affect service
- Tell us about known irrigation, drainage or property issues
Property Damage & Turf or Plant Injury
Physical Property Damage
GreenStripe technicians are expected to report known property damage that occurs during service. If you believe GreenStripe caused physical damage to your property, please notify us promptly. We will evaluate the circumstances and make a reasonable assessment of what occurred. If GreenStripe determines that the damage was caused by GreenStripe and is GreenStripe's responsibility, we will work with you to make the situation right.
Hidden or Unmarked Private Property Features
Customers are responsible for notifying GreenStripe of and, where appropriate, clearly marking known private underground or difficult-to-see property features before mechanical lawn services such as aeration, seeding and renovation. Examples may include invisible dog fences, irrigation components, landscape-lighting wires, shallow private lines, drainage components and other privately installed items. GreenStripe is not responsible for damage to private items that were not disclosed or adequately marked and could not reasonably have been identified before service.
Turf or Plant Injury or Decline
Lawn and plant health is affected by many interacting factors, including weather, temperature, humidity, rainfall, drought, soil conditions, irrigation, mowing, disease activity, insect activity, environmental stress, existing turf or plant condition, customer cultural practices, treatment timing and other site conditions. Certain environmental conditions can increase disease activity or turf stress during the same periods when fertilization or other lawn treatments are also taking place. For example, active disease pressure, heat, excessive moisture, improper irrigation, mowing practices or other cultural conditions may contribute to turf decline even though a lawn application was performed during the same period.
If turf or plant injury is reported following a GreenStripe service, we will evaluate the condition and the surrounding circumstances to help determine the likely cause. The fact that a condition appears after an application does not necessarily mean the application caused it. Weather, disease, irrigation, mowing, environmental stress, existing conditions and other factors may contribute to turf or plant decline. If GreenStripe determines that a service we performed caused damage for which GreenStripe is responsible, we will work with the customer to make it right. These concerns are handled through our On Par Guarantee.
The GreenStripe On Par Guarantee
Our guarantee is about how we respond. If you have a concern about your lawn, landscape or a GreenStripe service, we will investigate the issue, help determine what is happening and explain the recommended next step. If GreenStripe determines an issue is our responsibility, we will work to make it right.
GreenStripe does not guarantee a perfect lawn or outcomes controlled by weather, soil, environmental conditions, customer maintenance or other factors outside GreenStripe's reasonable control. For that reason, GreenStripe cannot guarantee:
- A perfect lawn
- Complete elimination of every weed
- Complete elimination of every insect
- Complete prevention of disease
- Specific germination percentages
- A specific color
- Specific weather-dependent outcomes
- Results prevented by circumstances outside GreenStripe's reasonable control
These limits do not excuse damage GreenStripe actually caused. See Property Damage & Turf or Plant Injury.
Weeds, Insects & Disease
Different weeds, insects and diseases may require different:
- Products
- Treatment methods
- Timing
- Repeat treatments
- Cultural practices
Some problems are seasonal or can only be treated once they are actively present. GreenStripe's services are intended to manage targeted lawn, landscape and pest problems as described in your program; they are not a promise of total eradication.
All pesticide applications are made according to applicable product labels and law.
Weather & Natural Conditions
Every growing season is different. Conditions such as these can change treatment timing, turf response, plant response or overall results:
- Excessive rain
- Drought
- Extreme heat
- Unusual winter conditions
- Temperature swings
- Humidity
- Disease pressure
- Insect pressure
GreenStripe may adjust treatment timing or recommendations based on these conditions.
Aeration, Seeding & Lawn Renovation
Successful seed establishment depends heavily on:
- Watering
- Temperature
- Weather
- Soil conditions
- Existing turf
- Shade
- Irrigation
- Customer aftercare
Before aeration or mechanical renovation services, please tell us about any hidden or difficult-to-see property features, such as:
- Invisible dog fences
- Irrigation components
- Landscape lighting wires
- Shallow utility lines
- Drainage components
- Other privately installed underground or surface items
GreenStripe takes reasonable care around your property, but cannot be responsible for damage to undisclosed or inadequately marked private items that could not reasonably be identified before service.
Tree & Shrub Services
Trees and shrubs are living plants affected by:
- Species
- Planting location
- Soil
- Irrigation
- Weather
- Insects
- Disease
- Environmental stress
Our treatments are intended to support plant health and manage targeted problems where appropriate. GreenStripe cannot guarantee the survival or perfect appearance of any plant.
Pest Control Services
Mosquito, tick and perimeter pest programs are designed to reduce and manage pest pressure as described in your program. They do not promise complete elimination of pests. Results can be affected by:
- Neighboring properties
- Weather
- Standing water
- Vegetation
- Wildlife
- Environmental conditions
- Customer and property conditions
All pesticide applications are performed according to applicable product labels and requirements.
Property Access
By enrolling in service, you authorize GreenStripe personnel to enter the reasonably necessary exterior service areas of your property for scheduled services.
You are responsible for providing reasonable access. For example, if a gate is locked or a treatment area is blocked or unsafe to reach, GreenStripe may be unable to complete some or all of that service.
Pricing
Pricing may depend on factors including:
- Property size
- Measured treatment area
- Selected program
- Selected services
- Property conditions
- Service frequency
- Applicable taxes
If the property measurements or information used to create your quote are materially inaccurate, GreenStripe may correct the measurement and resulting price before future services. Future program pricing may change.
Payment Methods
GreenStripe may accept payment through available methods, including:
- Check
- AutoPay using a credit card
- Credit-card prepayment
- Other payment options GreenStripe may make available
Credit-Card Processing Surcharge
A 3% credit-card processing surcharge applies to applicable one-time credit-card payments and credit-card prepayments. This surcharge is below GreenStripe's actual credit-card processing cost. Under GreenStripe's current payment policy, customers enrolled in GreenStripe AutoPay are not charged this 3% surcharge.
The surcharge will be disclosed to you before the applicable transaction is completed. GreenStripe will not charge a credit-card surcharge greater than its actual applicable processing cost or any amount prohibited by applicable law.
This policy may be updated if our payment processing changes.
Prepayments
You may be offered the option to prepay for eligible services.
If you cancel, GreenStripe will refund prepaid amounts attributable to services that have not yet been completed. Once a service has been completed, the amount attributable to that completed service is not refundable.
Cancellation & Refunds
You may request cancellation of your GreenStripe services at any time by contacting us verbally or in writing. After receiving your request, GreenStripe will provide a cancellation form. Your cancellation is finalized once the completed cancellation form is returned to GreenStripe.
Services completed before cancellation is finalized remain due and are non-refundable. Any prepaid balance for services not completed will be refunded after cancellation.
We generally provide advance notification before arriving for scheduled services. If you wish to stop an upcoming service, please contact GreenStripe before that service is performed.
Past-Due Accounts
You are responsible for paying amounts due for completed GreenStripe services. If an account becomes past due, GreenStripe may:
- Send payment reminders
- Contact you regarding the balance
- Pause or suspend future services
- Cancel future services
- Continue reasonable efforts to collect amounts legitimately owed
Where permitted by law, GreenStripe reserves the right to refer delinquent balances to a third-party collection provider or pursue other lawful collection methods.
Communications
GreenStripe may use the contact information you provide to communicate with you about:
- Scheduled services
- Account information
- Billing
- Service recommendations
- Customer support
- Program information
These Terms do not replace any separate consent required for marketing messages. Consent for marketing communications, including marketing text messages, is requested separately where required.
Website Use
Please use the GreenStripe website lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with its operation or security.
Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. Lawn, plant and pest information is general and may not apply in the same way to every property. Service recommendations for your property may require a property-specific evaluation.
Intellectual Property
GreenStripe website content, including branding, logos, original photography, graphics and written materials, is owned by GreenStripe or used with permission. Subject to applicable law, it may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without authorization.
Third-Party Services
GreenStripe's website and customer experience may use third-party services for functions such as:
- Payment processing
- Scheduling
- Communications
- Mapping and property information
- Analytics
- Other operational technology
GreenStripe is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party websites or services outside its reasonable control. Privacy details will be addressed in the GreenStripe Privacy Policy.
Limitations & Natural Systems
GreenStripe is responsible for performing purchased services professionally and in accordance with applicable requirements. Lawn, tree, shrub and pest-control results are also influenced by weather, soil, irrigation, mowing, plant health, environmental conditions, neighboring properties, customer maintenance and other factors outside GreenStripe's reasonable control. For that reason, GreenStripe cannot guarantee a perfect lawn, complete elimination of every weed or pest, or a specific result caused by conditions outside our reasonable control. These limitations do not change GreenStripe's commitments under our On Par Guarantee.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
GreenStripe may update these Terms from time to time. The current version shows its "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing services will be communicated where required or appropriate.
Severability & Additional Terms
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
A customer's proposal, enrollment confirmation or other written service agreement may contain additional terms specific to the services purchased, including service scope, pricing and payment arrangements. If a service-specific written term directly conflicts with these general Terms & Conditions, the service-specific written term will control with respect to that particular service or transaction.
